What are you thinking?

This powerful message confronts us with a startling truth: our emotions cannot differentiate between what is real and what is imaginary. Just as a toddler can be genuinely terrified of something that isn't even present, we as adults often allow our minds to create anxieties about situations that may never occur. Drawing from Philippians 4:6-9, we're challenged to examine the lies we're believing and the thought patterns we're nurturing.

The message reveals that by and large, over 90 percent of what we worry about never actually happens, yet our bodies respond as if every imagined scenario is reality. We're reminded that anxiety isn't the opposite of caring deeply; rather, it's what happens when our deep concern divides our mind between trusting God and trusting ourselves. The antidote isn't apathy or indifference, but a deliberate choice to meditate on whatever is true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and of good report.

This isn't simply positive thinking; it's a radical reorientation of our mental habits toward the truth of God's Word. When we fill our minds with Scripture and practice genuine thanksgiving, we discover something remarkable: it's impossible to be truly thankful and anxious at the same time. The promise is clear—when we align our thoughts with God's truth, His supernatural peace that surpasses understanding will guard our hearts and minds.
