Part 3: We MUST Never Forsake the Gospel
What does it truly mean to never forget where we came from? In this message drawn from 1 Timothy 1:12-20, we are invited to sit with one of the most stunning transformations in all of Scripture, the life of Paul, a man who went from actively persecuting followers of Christ to becoming one of the most passionate proclaimers of the gospel the world has ever known. The central truth anchoring this message is found in Paul's own declaration that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, and that he considered himself the chief among them. That kind of raw honesty is not self-deprecating. It is the very foundation of a faith that stays alive and grateful. When we lose sight of who we were before grace found us, we begin to drift. We start taking the gospel for granted, growing familiar with a message that should never stop astonishing us. This message calls us back to that place of wonder, reminding us that the grace of God did not simply improve us. It rescued us. And a rescued person does not forget the one who pulled them from the water.
