Day 5: Holiness and Community
Reading: 1 Peter 1:13-16; Ephesians 4:17-24
*As you complete this devotional journey, remember: God's heart is always restorative. His discipline, His call to purity, and His community of believers all exist to bring you into the fullness of life He designed for you. Walk in grace. Walk in truth. Walk in holiness.
Devotional:
"Be holy, for I am holy." This isn't a suggestion; it's a command rooted in God's very nature. But holiness isn't achieved in isolation—it's cultivated in community. The church is designed to be a place of spiritual protection, accountability, and growth. When we gather as believers, we should sense something different from the world—a purity, a love, a commitment to truth that stands apart. Your reputation as a believer either draws people to Christ or pushes them away. Are you bringing God's Word to life for those around you? This doesn't mean perfection, but it does mean direction. You're working from a place of purity in Christ, not toward it. Let that reality transform how you live today. Pursue holiness not to earn God's love, but because you already have it. Be different. Be set apart. Be His.
