Day 4: Repentant or Unrepentant?

Reading: 2 Corinthians 7:8-11; Psalm 51:1-17

*As you complete this devotional journey, remember: God's heart is always restorative. His discipline, His call to purity, and His community of believers all exist to bring you into the fullness of life He designed for you. Walk in grace. Walk in truth. Walk in holiness.

Devotional:

There are only two types of believers: repentant sinners and unrepentant sinners. The difference isn't whether we fall—we all do—but how we respond when confronted with truth. Repentance means hearing God's Word and saying, "I was wrong. I don't want to go down that road again." It's turning away from sin and turning toward God. Unrepentance, by contrast, hears the truth but chooses to continue anyway. David's prayer in Psalm 51 models’ genuine repentance: honest confession, humble acknowledgment of God's rightness, and desperate desire for restoration. Which posture characterizes your life today? When the Holy Spirit convicts you through Scripture, a sermon, or a fellow believer, do you defend yourself or humble yourself? Godly sorrow produces repentance that leads to salvation without regret. Choose the path of life.
