Day 3: The Danger of Tolerated Sin

Reading: 1 Corinthians 5:6-8; Galatians 5:7-9

*As you complete this devotional journey, remember: God's heart is always restorative. His discipline, His call to purity, and His community of believers all exist to bring you into the fullness of life He designed for you. Walk in grace. Walk in truth. Walk in holiness.

Devotional:

A little leaven leavens the whole lump. This isn't just a baking principle; it's a spiritual reality. Sin that's tolerated, excused, or minimized doesn't stay contained—it spreads. What begins as a "small compromise" gradually corrupts our hearts, our families, and our communities. Paul's warning to Corinth echoes to us today: we cannot celebrate grace in a way that excuses sin. Grace confronts sin because grace loves people too much to leave them in bondage. Examine your life honestly today. Are there "small" areas of compromise you've been tolerating? Perhaps it's what you watch, how you speak, or attitudes you've justified. Remember, you're unleavened in Christ—pure and holy in your position. Now align your practice with that reality. Purge out the old leaven and live in the sincerity and truth that reflects who you truly are in Him.
